Cute Critters for Seize the Birthday

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and JoAnn has chosen
cute critters as this fortnight's theme.

You can always play along with our anything goes birthday challenge too.

Our party guests Karen and Darnell, along with my team mates have some adorable critters to inspire you, so I hope you can play along!

I went with a realistic cute critter, a koala.
The background is a mixture of broken china, uncharted mariner, tumbled glass and rusty hinge distress spray stains.
I need lots more practice with these as I had to have quite a few goes to get the effect I wanted!

The koala is double layered for dimension.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Little Red Wagon, make it masculine

Simon Says Stamp Monday, happy birthday
Supplies:
Paper Rose koala in tree die; distress spray stains; Poppystamps birthday blowout stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; hammered card base.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

  1. This is beautiful Cathy and the ink sprayed background makes a brilliant background to the wonderful silhouette koala in the tree, perfect in black..a fabulous birthday card. The second time we visited Australia we managed to see koalas in the wild quite close up beside the road going to Cape Otway Lighthouse which was great! x

  12. That's adorable - my favourite Aussie critter and my only remaining childhood well loved toy I still own - she resides in my craft room - so lovely to see one on a card.
