Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda has chosen splatters.
I love getting messy with mixed media lol!
I love getting messy with mixed media lol!
Our party guest Wanda and my team mates have some great ideas to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.
I revisited watching some You Tube videos by Tiffany Solorio using magicals.
This one is inspired by her video here.
I made the background by sprinkling the magicals onto watercolour paper and spritzing with lots of water. When dry I flicked or splattered on water droplets to create texture.
I also tried stamping some text randomly with white pigment ink, that's the mixed media part lol!
Then flicked on some white gloss spray and some splatters of gold paint.
I layered up the white diecut leaves for extra dimension.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Mix it Up Challenge, playing along with the mixed media option
Allsorts, playing along with the anything goes option
Supplies:
Lindy's Magicals; Tim Holtz distress glaze; Finetec gold paint; Dina Wakley white gloss spray; Kaisercraft text stamp; Hero Arts unicorn white pigment ink; Memory Box fresh foliage die;
sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
Your magical background is so beautiful and love all the different splatters you used for so much texture. And the white die cute leaves were the perfect touch, Cathy.
ReplyDeleteThis is so bright and beautiful using your Magicals Cathy, and love the splatters and bits of script in the background, and the leaves are really pretty over the top and a lovely white sentiment too. x

ReplyDeletenot very good at getting splatters on my cards. always worried they are going to go everywhere and ruin the effect. I love the background you have created here. Looks really lovey as a backdrop to the white flowers. Hugs Mrs A.

ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely stunning Cathy! I love everything about it - that background is gorgeous. I don't even know what magicals are (lol) but I'll have to take a look. Your splatters are all terrific - just adds extra beauty to an already amazing background.
