Rabbits Galore!

 

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda wants us to be inspired by a book.

Whether it's the cover, settings, characters etc...

Of course, you can play along with our anything goes birthday theme too!

Our party guest Izzy, and my team mates have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I was thinking of dragons and castles for Lord of the Rings but couldn't get Watership Down out of my head! So I cased a card I made from many years ago when hubby was breeding rabbits.

The rabbit diecuts are double layered for dimension. I love the funky look of the sentiment sticker!

Hi everyone, we've had quite a few sad occasions in our community lately, and I've been making quite a few sympathy cards.

I find it easiest to have some cards at the ready for these times.

This one is very CAS with just some designer paper, an aperture diecut and a stamped sentiment.

Birthday on the Farm

 

Hi everyone,

I was asked to make a card for a guy who lives on a farm and loves tinkering with his old tractors!

I'm CASEing one that I made a few years ago for a 16 year old tractor lover.

Guess it goes with living in a rural area!

The tractor was diecut from some glossy green card and I added some yellow to mimic the John Deere brand.

The background is a blended mix of bundled sage, peeled paint and rustic wilderness oxide inks

The sentiment was embossed with versamark and black sparkle embossing powder.

Circles for Seize the Birthday

 

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Colleen is hosting a circle theme. Use one or more circles on your card.

Or play along with our anything goes birthday theme, it's a great way to build up your stash!

Our party guest Izzy will be joining us for the next couple of months. She and my team mates have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so hope to see you in the gallery.

I had a few ideas for circles and pulled out some unused goodies from my stash. These emoji ones fit the bill and I had the smile die and sentiment stamp to suit as well!

The sentiment die is clear embossed for shine, and I used the subtle embossing folder again to add some texture to the background.
