Hi everyone, I've been watching some You Tube videos by Tiffany Solorio using magicals.
This one is inspired by her video here.
(I used to have a dress in these colours that I bought from a market in London on my one venture overseas!)
I made the background by sprinkling the magicals onto watercolour paper and spritzing with lots of water. When dry I flicked on water droplets to create texture.
I also tried stamping some text randomly with white pigment ink, that's the mixed media part lol!
Then flicked on some white gloss spray and some spatters of gold paint.
I layered up the white diecut flower and sentiments for extra dimension.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Allsorts, playing along with anything goes.
It's the first outing for this Sizzix flower die, so I'm also visiting Darnell's NBUS Challenge
Lindy's Magicals; Tim Holtz distress glaze; Finetec gold paint; Dina Wakley white gloss spray; Kaisercraft text stamp; Hero Arts unicorn white pigment ink; Sizzix artsy stems die;
Creative Expressions stacked happy birthday die.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

I did watch the video and there were quite a few steps to finish the background but it does look fabulous Cathy and does have great depth to show off the white layered up die cut flower and sentiment just brilliantly. x
ReplyDeleteHow pretty the bright white just pops off that stunning background! Beautifully done. Thank you for joining us at Allsorts this week.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Cathy. The white die cuts look lovely against the amazing background. xx
ReplyDeleteYour purple background is beautiful and unique. I'm guessing that Magicals is a similar product to Brushos. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThe colors in the background look so stunning, and the effects of the various splatters are awesome. Love that you added the die cuts in white - great way of showing off that background, while not taking the focus away. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge!
ReplyDeleteYour background looks amazing of this wonderful card. Thank you for joining us at the Allsorts Challenge.
