Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and JoAnn has chosen a colour theme for us!
Of course, if topping aren't your thing you can play along with our anything goes birthday option too.
Our party guests and my team mates have some wonderful cards for you so pop over and have look at the blog.
I bought this sketch daisy die recently, even though it was released years ago and while
browsing on pinterest I found this card by Sherry Hester.
I love the soft pinks, the stencilling and her arrangement of the petals and leaves.
So I've CASEd her card in this CAS red, white and green design.
I stencilled the petals with candied apple distress ink and the Tim Holtz ornate stencil, The petal outlines are die cut from card coloured with the same ink.
The stems and leaves are die cut from green card that matches the base card. I lengthened one of the stems and added another leaf.
Versafine shady lane green ink for the sentiment, although it looks a bit black in the pic.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Supplies:
Memory Box sketch daisy die: Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die; Tim Holtz ornate stencil; Candied apple distress ink; Paper Smooches sentiment sampler stamp; Versafine Clair shady lane ink
and clear ep.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
