Birthday roses

Hi everyone,I hope you are having a peaceful Easter break wherever you are. It's been drizzly and rainy here all day, so I've been hiding in the craft room!

I've had this die for ages and not used it, so tried it with some scraps from my bits box. It's tricky to cut out so definitely needed the metal shim plate.

I used some washi tape to hold the inlaid pieces in place as I filled the spaces. It would've been less time consuming if I'd diecut from larger pieces of cardstock...but at least I used up some scraps!

I layered a white diecut over the top for extra definition. I also added some leaves from another set as I'd positioned everything too high up on my card. The extra leaves balanced it out I think!

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Dies R Us, anything goes, I've used a Memory Box die.

Make My Monday, Easter or Spring

Simon Says Stamp Monday, Easter or Spring

Supplies:
Memory Box antique rose corner; Memory Box antique leaf label; the scraps were from backgrounds using distress spray stains and some distress oxides; sentiment sticker.
