Snowy Birthday.

Hi everyone, Happy New Year and welcome back to Seize the Birthday!

Barb has chosen a snowy background as our theme this time,

or, you can play along with the anything goes birthday option.

My team mates and our party guest Julie, have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I haven't seen much snow since we emigrated to Australia from Scotland when I was 6!

I just remember it was cold, very cold!
So I may have created a blizzard as a background lol!

I used brushos spritzed with water to create the background then stamped the Katzelkraft guy onto it. I stamped another image, coloured him with Prismacolor pencils, and fussy cut part of him to paper piece over the other stamped one.

I stamped the Hero Arts warm thoughts sentiment then
lightened the ground with a white prismacolour pencil and added a streak of snowtex to ground the character.

I tapped a white posca paint pen over the card for snow drops.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More,, brushos, prismacolur pencils and posca paint pen.

Simon Says Stamp Monday, use a new or unused product.
This Katzelkraft sherlock set is unused, and my posca pen was new!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, something new.
Supplies:

Brushos prussian blue; Katzelkraft Pabos Sherlock stamp; Hero Arts Find Joy stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink; clear ep; DecoArt Snow tex; Prismacolour pencils; white posca paint pen; birthday sentiment sticker.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

  2. The background looks fantastic with the Brushos and the added Posca pen falling snow Cathy and also the white Prismacolour pencil over the bottom area, and then the sweet and fun Katzelcraft image over the top, beautifully coloured with a great sentiment to finish, and wonderful contrast on the black card. x

  8. Cathy, you have captured the 'blizzard' perfectly and I LOVE it! We don't get much snow here in the Pacific Northwest either, I guess we are actually lucky considering what many have to deal with, but I do love it for just a day or two! Your card is fantastic!

  10. Such a fun little scene you created Cathy! Your little guy doesn't seem too happy with the cold, and I can so relate to how he is feeling. This is sensational and so unexpected! I hope you take that as a compliment as it certainly is one! I love it!

  12. Even if you don't particularly remember, you have conjured up a perfect snowy background! And I love the little Katzelkraft dude, too. He looks like he needs a warm thought or two - or maybe just some warmth! :D Thanks as well for adding this to Happy Little Stampers watercolour and Addicted to Stamps and More.
