Hi everyone, I've been making more backgrounds with distress oxide inks and glossy photo paper.
I pressed some ink onto a craft mat spritzed with water and smooshed the paper through it.
When the ink is dry, go over it with a baby wipe and it removes the chalky residue to reveal bright colours.
There was just enough left of this piece to diecut a butterfly.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, anything goes.
Always Fun Challenge, diecutting.
Stamplorations CAS Challenge, anything goes without the colour twist.
Supplies:
Distress oxide inks; glossy photo paper; Memory Box flitter side butterfly die; Annabelle Stamps Fanciful Flowers sentiment stamp; versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
A perfect CAS card Cathy and I love the little piece of smooshed glossy card you have used for this pretty butterfly, and a great sentiment too in black to match. x

ReplyDeleteA great CAS style with a lovely splash of colour. Chantell Just Add Ink
ReplyDeleteGosh, those vibrant colours really pop with the black and white, Cathy ... CAS loveliness! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteOh you’ve reminded me of that technique Cathy must try it again. Hadn’t heard of baby wipes I use my good hairspray to set it same as my PanPastels. Makes colour pop.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping over, really appreciated it it and yes we need rain too, .. but it’s ridiculous re border being closed to us we haven’t had a case since April yet we can’t go up see family or friends. I’m praying madame Qld will be out on 31st . She’s too extreme. Grateful ours is more practical. And effective in contact tracing that’s the key.
Lovely words as always.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you, too. Praying you’re all kept well too!
Hugs, Shaz in Oz.x 😊

ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful colourful butterfly and of course that paper you often use. I haven't bought any for awhile as where I got mine from he has a flat rate and haven't needed any special paper for a while. Another super cas creation Cathy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea . . . clear explanation of the technique. Might have to have a play with it!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the CAS card you've created with your multicoloured photo paper.
Hugs, Sarn x
