Hi everyone, this is a new to me stamp from Paper Artsy.
I love it but didn't realize how large the flower was when I bought it.
(The perils of online shopping!)
I rarely stamp without embossing the image, but felt if I embossed it, I would need to bleach it and colour it in!
So it's just a masked strip, inked with oxides and a blending brush, then stamped.
I'm linking up to some challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday, oodles of doodles.
I'm not one for drawing, so luckily this image looks as if it has lots of doodles on it!
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday, where the team are celebrating stamping in September.
CASology, where the key word is September.
It's the start of Spring here in Australia, so for me that's looking forward to lots of colour in the garden!
NBUS Challenge #18. Darnell encourages us to use our never before used schtuff!
This Paper Artsy image and sentiment have been sitting in my pile of new stuff for a few months.
Supplies:
Paper Artsy EKC13 set by Kay Carley; Versafine Clair nocturne ink; distress oxides; Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle die.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
Beautiful card! I love your ink blending and your over-sized daisy...makes for a very eye-catching card. Thanks for joining our feminine challenge at Watercooler Wednesday. Karen
ReplyDeleteA beautiful blend of colors and how I wish that sentiment would be true! It is a big stamp but perfect for the slimline card.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fabulous Cathy! Love the inking its perfectly blended.
ReplyDeleteWonderful colour combination and I like how you stopped the contemporary flower and didn't emboss it Cathy x.
ReplyDeleteIt may seem simple but it is beautifully done Cathy with wonderful ink blending with the two super oxide colours of blue and yellow making that wonderful green where they cross, and the flower is so pretty just stamped over the top and finished with a great sentiment too. x
ReplyDeleteLove your cheery daisy to go with that awesome sediment, Cathy! Beautiful blending! I think there should be a challenge for "AOL!" Thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous blending, Cathy ... and a fabulous colour combo ... dare I say fresh as a daisy! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a sweet image from Paper Artsy, Cathy! I can see why you wanted it. Love the beautiful ink blended strip with the image stamped on top. Awesome effect and beautiful card! xx

ReplyDeleteI have had that issue with online shopping as well... I now try to not buy unless I've seen a card made with a product I'm considering so I can see scale. I much prefer shopping in person! Your card, despite the larger than expected flower, is awesome! Thanks for playing along with us at CASology!
