Hi everyone, I'm taking a break from reality and making some cards.
(There are terrible bushfires in Northern NSW and other areas at the moment.
Fortunately, for now, we are ok but there are lots who are not, it's a stressful, devastaing time and we just keep praying for rain...snowflakes would be welcome too!!)
I've wet embossed this snowflake die with Wow white twinkle powder before, and recently purchased some black twinkle powder.
Here's a closer look.
The embossed strip is from a retired Stampin Up set.
I'm linking up to some challenges:
It's all about occasions at Watercooler Wednesday
Perfectly CAS has a christmas theme.
AAA Cards I'm hoping my snowflake diecut counts as an image, and I've gone with the shimmer!
Happy Little Stampers CAS has a christmas theme.
Stamplorations CAS without the colour option.
Supplies:
Memory Box Lindemann snowflake die; versamark ink and Wow black twinkle ep; retired SU embossing strip; sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
Love your pretty glistening snowflake on the white backing, so elegant in look and feel. Thank you for playing at AAA Cards
ReplyDeleteThis is such a stylish and really beautiful card Cathy and love the added snowflake with that pretty black twinkle embossing. The dry embossed strip really stands out and I assume that wetting the card helps to make a deeper emboss. x
ReplyDeleteOh wow, this is so sparkly. I love the look embossing powder gives and this is a good one. The embossed strip gives dimension and the silver greeting is lovely. I'm so glad you are safe and sending prayers for those in the line of fires. They are so devastating and it is heartbreaking to see this on the news.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Loving the simple colour scheme and sparkling dainty snowflake. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too.
ReplyDeleteFires are so scary! I hope and pray you will stay safe and rain will come soon. Love your snowflake! That embossing powder is wonderful! I'll have to look for that!
ReplyDeleteStunning CAS card and the black twinkle powder is so very pretty.
