Hi everyone, this is the second card from the smooshed oxide ink panel that was a disaster as a background. I had to find a spot I liked for this butterfly, luckily it's fairly small lol!
I'll be sending this off to the lovely CWA ladies (and gent) who catered for my Step Dad's memorial at the end of April.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Supplies:
Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle and Memory Box drifting side butterfly dies: Simon Says Stamp thanks sentiment stamps; versafine ink & clear ep; distress oxide inks.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
gorgeous smooshed butterfly :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a thoughtful and beautiful card x
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nice when a not so nice piece of smooshing can turn into something this fantastic? The black really makes these colors pop and your butterfly is perfectly placed!
ReplyDeleteThis butterfly and your glorious ferns show what brilliant designs can be made form not-so-pretty whole backgrounds, Cathy! The simplicity of your designs on the black card bases is amazing and both are both wonderfully CASlicious!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteCathy that's a gorgeous butterfly, I know you say the background was a disaster but the two cards from that disaster have turned out beautifully. I think it's more of a success x
ReplyDeleteRaw beauty!!! Buttterflies are the kindest and best creatures!! Love your card

Gorgeous, Cathy ... you placed that delicate die cut so perfectly over the smooshed DOX piece ... love how the wings fade from the blue and then to the soft green! Beautiful! Thanks so much for playing along with us again at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks great too Cathy and I love the way you have cut it out of the piece of Oxide smooshed card with the blue on the inside of the wings and the bluey green over the rest which stand out beautifully against the black body and outline of the and again the white on black really pops. x
ReplyDeleteI love your butterfly. What a clean and simple gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty. Love the colour. Hugs Mrs A.
