Butterflies & Texture Paste.

Hi everyone, I'm having a restful weekend in the craft room.
It's been such a busy week at work that housework can wait lol!

Edited to add: Just had a request to make my pic bigger so I hope it's not too big now :)

This tag was made from a texture paste disaster! (I'm afraid to admit I never throw anything out.)
I diecut an area on the card that was ok and blended on some distress oxide inks. I spritzed with water until I was happy with the colours.

The butterflies are stamped, embossed and fussy cut. I chose yellow and grey inktense pencils that matched the background pretty well and blended the colours out with a water brush.

The edges of the bottom tag are painted with pewter twinkling H2Os then brushed with iced spruce oxide ink, just to tie in with the colours since white was too stark.

The theme at CAS Mix Up Card Challenge is to use texture paste .
I've also used stamping, watercolouring with DO inks and inktense pencils and fussycutting.

At Addicted to Stamps & More the theme is to make your mark.
I've used inks and inktense pencils.

At Seize the Bithday it's anything goes birthday.

Supplies:

Antique Engravings butterfly stamp, versafine ink & clear ep; iced spruce & fossilized amber distress oxide inks; sienna gold and charcoal inktense pencils; Tim Holtz dot fade stencil; antique silver crackle embossing paste; pewter twinkling H2Os; sentiment sticker and brad from stash.

Dragonfly Birthday

Hi everyone, this is my last card as a party guest with
Seize the Birthday. It's been so much fun and my stash of birthday cards has increased as a bonus!
The theme this time is anything goes, so it's an easy one to play along with.

I've used a new to me die from Stamplorations for the bold birthday, and
stamped and fussy cut Indigo Blue dragonflies and painted them with twinkling H2O's. They are so sparkly in real life, bit hard to capture in the photo.
I've stencilled texture paste through a stencil to give some texture to the background.

I'm also linking up to the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.
I've used stamping, texture paste, fussy cutting and die cutting.

At Addicted to Stamps and More the theme is to make your mark. I've painted with twinkling H2Os.
They are also celebrating their 5th birthday so congratulations to Kylie and the team!

At Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge it's anything goes CAS with the option of masculine colours.
I've used  blue and green, so I hope it's still masculine even though there's a sparkle!

At CAS Watercolor Card Challenge the theme is Summer. Dragonflies remind me of lazy Summer days! I've used twinkling H2Os as my watercolor element.

Supplies:
Indigo Blue dragonfly stamp; versafine ink & clear ep; Stamplorations birthday die; twinkling H2O's; Tim Holtz spatter stencil; texture paste; happy sentiment sticker.

Experimenting with brushos & texture paste.

Hi everyone, I had fun playing with some silver embossing paste and brushos with this card.
I didn't want to waste the panel I'd made so thought I'd punch out some shapes and this is the result.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Stamplorations CAS Card Challenge where it's anything CAS with the option of masculine colours. The black brushos have split into blue and grey with a splash of orange so I'm playing along with the twist.

I'm also linking to  CAS Mix Up Card Challenge. I've stamped the sentiment, used silver texture paste, brushos, a punch and spattering in the background.

Supplies:
Stamplorations Noteworthy stamp; versafine ink & clear ep; Memory Box diamond stencil; silver crackle embossing paste; black brushos; SU hexagon punch; birthday sentiment sticker; brushed pewter distress spray stain for spattering in the background.

Stencilled one layer shells.

Hi everyone, I'm back with another card as party guest at Seize the Birthday.
I've gone with the toppings option this time, one layer. But you can always play along with anything goes birthday.

I very rarely make one layer cards, it's way out of my comfort zone lol!

I wanted to try something other than stamping so I used a sponge dauber to add distress ink with this stencil, then added some white prismacolor pencil to try and give some shading.
Not sure if I'm totally happy with my efforts, but I had fun trying this!

I'm also linking up to the 3rd birthday celebrations at AAA Cards, congratulations!

Supplies:
Dreamweaver shells stencil; distress inks; prismacolor pencil; stately embossing folder;
sentiment sticker.

Dolphin splash.

Hi everyone, I've spent the afternoon playing with distress inks and some dies that I had to have but hadn't got around to using yet!!

I started with a pale blue piece of card and added some tumbled glass and stormy skies DI to both layers and then added chipped sapphire to the bottom layer. Next I spritzed on some water, I love the patchy look it left. I diecut an extra set of ripples and glued them on for more dimension in the water.

The dolphins are diecut from some silver shimmer paper an popped up on foam dots.

I'm linking up to a few challenges.

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday the theme is anything goes.

At Happy Little Stampers Watercolour challenge, it's also anything goes with an optional twist of masking.

The Male Room wants us to use diecuts from our stash.
I've used Memory Box splashing puddles and diving dolphins.

At Outside the Box the theme is celebrating birthdays.

Patterned Pinwheel.

Hi everyone, I've been playing with pinwheels and thought they's make a cute baby card!

This patterned paper is from my ageing stash! I need to find some pinks and purples so I can make some for a baby girl.
I'm linking up to a few challenges:

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday it's an anything goes theme.

At Simon Says Monday Challenge the theme is going around in circles.
I've used a tiny bubbles embossing folder and I may stretching things a bit, but pinwheels go around in circles. I wish I could work out how to make them spin on a card!

At Just Us Girls the theme is diecuts.
I love dies and I've used 3 on my card.

At the Stamplorations CAS challenge for June it's anything goes CAS with the optional twist of masculine colours. I've used blue.
