Hi everyone, I've been playing with torn cardboard and gesso again!
This time, I sprayed the gessoed card with antique linen distress stain and painted it into the nooks and crannies! I rubbed on some amber metallic paint on the edges, although it's a bit hard to see in the photo.
The flowers were made from a messy infusions experiment!
I was spritzing water and sprinkling on the colour are you cerise then smooshing it on my craft sheet. I added some blue knight and realized I'd gone too far!! Way too much water. I painted on a thin layer of gesso, to tone it down, as you can see from this pic, still didn't look too appealing!
I punched out some flowers, rubbed a tiny bit of magenta inka gold onto the edge of the petals and smoothed it around with a wet brush, Much better!
I'm linking up to Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge where the theme is sprays,
I've used Poppy stamps meadow leaf and lorelai leaf die, and parts of the Memory Box cherry blossom die.
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is celebrating their 8th birthday with a birthday theme! Congratulations!
At Inkspirational the theme is Spring,
and at Addicted to Stamps & More it's anything goes.
