Gold embossed vellum flowers

Hi everyone, I tried a new technique (for me) on these flowers, colouring the vellum on the back with alcohol markers. I love the soft look it gives.
I also fussy cut a white flower to sit under each coloured bloom as I didn't want the greenery to show through the top layer.

I'm linking up to a few challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More has a CAS theme.

 CAS Mix up Card Challenge.
I've heat embossed the stamped flowers, used fussy cutting, dry embossing, and die cutting.

Allsorts are celebrating their 7th birthday with a birthday theme. Congratulations!

AAA Cards are celebrating their 2nd birthday with a birthday themed challenge and a blog hop.
.

Seize the Birthday has a toppings option of dimension.
I popped my flowers up with foam dots, and the embossed base also adds extra dimension.

Supplies:

Sizzix dot matrix embossing folder; Stampin Up flower stamp; vellum;  versamark ink and gold embossing powder; Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday to you die; gold shimmer paper; chameleon alcohol markers; Elizabeth Crafts curvy leaf die.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

  4. This is so sweet Cathy. I LOVE your design. The gold embossed vellum is so pretty coloured with alcohol markers. Great idea to add white card stock behind. Leaving the flowers loose gives them such great dimension. The depth and texture from your dry embossed background is fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

  18. Lovely colouring on vellum! And the flowers are so perfectly fussy cut. Great idea to put the white flowers behind the vellum ones so that the leaves don't show through. Thanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up.
