Masculine sympathy card

Hi again, I've been asked to make some male sympathy cards and thought that this marone, silver and beige colour scheme would be ok.

I'm running low on my silver shimmer paper so am glad I can make my own using Finetec silver paint.
The base card is marone but looks almost black in the pic.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday where the theme is to use a trio of colours.

Simon Monday Challenge Blog
At CASology the theme is write. I diecut my flowers from some marone card that had silver text on it.

Supplies:
Memory Box chloe stem die; Finetec silver paint; sentiment sticker.

Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

  1. Second time have seen this die in two days, Cathy, great CAS again..

.. the one I saw though had embossed a die cut to the side then just added bit of sparkle and bling .. very nice.
Thanks so much for popping over.

  3. Great card and it is a nice one for a male but could be for anyone. I never, ever thought of using paint to make silver or gold paper. What a fantastic idea. Thanks. I love that color combination of maroon and kraft.

  5. Wow! A male sympathy card? I think I would've run for the hills if someone challenge me to make that kind of a card, but you totally nailed it! I like the color palette you chose and how you made it manly enough for guys, but still gave it a sense of understated elegance. I'm sure whatever guy gets this card will really feel uplifted by it. You did a great job and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
