Hi again, I wanted to play along with the challenge at Addicted to CAS where it's a banner theme.
I used a free punch I got with an order from Stampin Up and cut up a scrap leftover from a Brushos experiment (have lots of those!)
I also punched out some
black banners and glued them to the yellow ones to show a black edge. I glued a strip of black card to the base to line them up against.
They look a bit uneven in the pic as I raised them on foam dots for some dimension, (they don't look as wonky IRL!)
I'm also linking up to the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday where the theme is to make a plan.
I had these banners in a heap of other layouts before settling on this one. They were staggered, had a solid black layer under them just to mention a few. So I guess I'm linking to the theme by changing my plan!
At Addicted to Stamps & More the theme is anything goes.
Supplies:
SU banner punch; watercolour paper; brushos; sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
Great use of those snippets.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at ATSM. :)
It's great to be able to use up scraps and snippets to make a fun card like this one. It doesn't look wonky but I know what you mean. Sometimes the camera distorts the card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to arrange the banner punched pieces in the line going down your card. Lovely card. xx
ReplyDeleteI like that you used the pop dots for dimension. Very clever! Thank you for sharing your work with us this week for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

I agree this is a clever use of the banner punch; I had to look twice to see them.
ReplyDeleteSuper card for male of female, the black behind the banners is great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at ATSM this week, Anita x
I love how you used your scraps from your Brushos to create your banners! Fab CAS design, too! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at Addicted to CAS!
ReplyDeleteYour banners made from brushos scrap pieces are so nice. Thanks for taking your time out to join us at ATCAS. - Sweet Kobylkin
ReplyDeleteSo cool and funky, Cathy ... the dimension makes it look as those the banners are fluttering in the breeze! Anita :)
