Hi everyone, I was inspired to make this card by a couple of challenges.
At CASology the theme is vintage.
I think of vintage as wallpaper, oval frames and florals.
I kept the colour scheme white on white to keep a CAS feel.
At Simon Says Stamp Monday the theme is royal.
I used seedless preserves and dusty concord distress inks to give my butterfly a royal purple colour.
Supplies:
Memory Box butterfly dies; Spellbinders floral oval die; Papertrey Ink cover plate;
distress inks; bought paper flower; sentiment sticker.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x
Beautiful composition of the card. Statement of purple and white color is so elegant. Beautiful card.

Very pretty Cathy. Love the vintage look with the lacy oval frame and rose for the center of the butterfly. xx
ReplyDeleteI love that purple butterfly against the white. Your oval die is so pretty. Great card.
ReplyDeleteI love the purple butterfly Cathy sitting on the pretty SB oval die cut and the pretty embossing and the cute little flower on the butterfly is great for a finishing touch. x
ReplyDeleteThis card is so pretty! I really love how delicate the butterfly looks and I thought it was genius to add a little flower to its center. The color of the flower pairs so nicely with the darker purple tones. I think the metallic gold is such an elegant touch and the oval is classy indeed! This definitely looks royal to me and I'm so glad you shared it with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love your royal purple butterfly, Cathy! It's very rich and elegant!! Hugs, Darnell
