Blue & gold butterflies

Hi everyone, I was inspired to make this card by the colours at
Scrapbook Boutique's challenge this month. The base card looks black but it's a dark navy.
These cupcakes look so delicious!

Enter Our Challenge - starts 10th each month

At Cuttlebug Mania the theme is to use a sentiment, as well as a manual machine like a Cuttlebug. I used mine to diecut the tag and the flourish and to emboss the tag.

I'm also linking up to the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

Green vellum butterfly

Hi again, I'm using up one of the last watercolour panels I made a while ago with my Kuretake paints.
I guess I'll just have to make some more! I've used this Lucienne tile a few times to cover the painted panels as I love the almost stained glass effect it gives.

There is a new monthly challenge at Memory Box and the theme is butterflies.
A few years ago the first die I ever bought was the Memory Box cocoa bean butterfly, and the matching stamp. I'm just scraping in with my entry as it closes in a few hours!

Birthday Gear

Hi everyone, I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Mine is about over but I'm on holidays for a couple of weeks and am looking forward to resting up!

I was experimenting with stencils and sprays.
I used  Goosebumps texture spray and a few Hueys Colour mists.
The tag was diecut then the gears cut from the leftover scraps. I added more colour with black soot distress ink and some silver gelatos.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday where the theme is to use mists and a stamp. My sentiment is a clear stamp from Simon Says Stamp.

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday the theme is anything goes.

Using scraps up means I can visit the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop
where there is always lots of fun to be had!

Edited to add: I'm also linking up to the challenge at Uniko Studio
where the theme is anything goes with the optional twist of masculine.
Thanks Anita!
.

Also the challenge at Happy Little Stampers where it's a sprays/mists theme. I hope this tag is CAS enough. Thanks Loll!

Navy & gold anniversary

It's been ages since I've had time to make any cards.
Hopefully I can spend more time in the craft room soon as it's nearly school holidays again!

I love this month's inspiration pic at  Scrapbook Boutique and thought it would be the perfect colours for an anniversary card that I've been asked to make.

Watercolour windmill

Hi everyone, I received my new Darkroom Door windmill stamp on Friday and was keen to have a play with it.

The background is made with brushos. I wet the watercolour paper, sprinkled cobalt blue powder and then misted with water again. A lot of the colour washed out and blended, but I think it looks a bit like clouds.

I'm linking up to a few challenges:
At Addicted to Stamps and More  they want us to use any material to make a mark on your project.
GRAB OUR BADGE!

At Pretty Pink Posh they are celebrating with a watercolor blog hop.

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday it's a masculine theme.

Butterfly Birthday

Hi everyone, I was inspired to make this card by a couple of challenges.
At CASology the theme is vintage.

I think of vintage as wallpaper, oval frames and florals.
I kept the colour scheme white on white to keep a CAS feel.

At Simon Says Stamp Monday the theme is royal.
I used seedless preserves and dusty concord distress inks to give my butterfly a royal purple colour.

Memory Box butterfly dies; Spellbinders floral oval die; Papertrey Ink cover plate;
distress inks; bought paper flower; sentiment sticker.
