Hi, it was Darnell's birthday a few days ago, so I'm late posting this card.
If you haven't visited her blog at djkardkreations then you're in for a treat.
Darnell is a talented card maker with a terrific sense of humour, her posts are always entertaining and a great source of inspiration. You'll probably also learn lots of new words and acronyms!
Ardyth is hosting a linky party to celebrate, there's still plenty of time to join in.
I've used the die cut words from my new Happy Birthday background die. I coloured them with 3 distress inks. At Moxie Fab World, there's a wonderful words challenge, to use a word die.
The butterfly was stamped, fussy cut and coloured with inktense pencils.
The challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More is to use markers, pencils or pens in your project.
Materials used:
Poppystamps Happy Birthday background die; Darkroom Door butterfly stamp; Entangled embossing folder; Spellbinders square dies; distress inks; inktense pencils; bling.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

So pretty with the colors fading. She is the best and has brought so many bloggers together. She makes me laugh every time I visit. I love how you colored your butterfly. I think she'll love it.
ReplyDeleteAnother one of your amazingly beautiful cards - Darnell will love it!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful, beautiful card! I love the embossing on this and that gorgeous butterfly.

I love the crispness of the blue and white and that window! I know Darnell loved it!
ReplyDeleteOooh, thank you so much, Cathy!! That was really sweet of you! I love your card design and the beautiful blue ombre coloring of your die cuts and butterfly! I'm also really drawn to that embossing folder. I don't think I've seen that one before and it reminds me of the way I used to doodle in school on my note paper. Remember doing that? One continuous line and not lifting your pencil or pen off the page? I still like to do it sometimes when I'm on a long phone call!
ReplyDeleteAnywizzle, I love it! It means so much to me that you dedicated a post to me and entered your pretty card in the linky party at Ardyth's! Mwah!! Darnell
(Thank you, Maureen!)
