Hi,I used my new Impression Obsession tree die to create this card.
My first attempt was scrapped as the glitter paper is so thin it was too hard to glue down.
I glued the glitter paper to a sheet of thin card then die cut it and it held it's shape much better.
I'm going to link up to a few challenges:
At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, the theme is anything goes.
I punched my holly leaves out of snippets of green and red, so I'm visiting the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.
Materials used: Cuttlebug Holly leaves ef: IO tree die; Martha Stewart holly punch; glitter paper.
Thanks for visiting :)
Such a beautiful image with the large fancy script. Beautiful card! Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Christmas card! That is a beautiful die! I can imagine that it was hard to glue down...
ReplyDeleteLovely die cut... yes, sometimes thin paper just cannot take all that. I like your three dimensional leaves. They look so real.
ReplyDeleteVery elegant and love the little bits of holly in the corners that match the embossing folder. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking die - I can see why you needed to reinforce the glitter paper - its very fine... Mxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Very Christmassy!
ReplyDeleteA beutiful Christmas card Cathy, I love the added holly corners.

Cathy, this is gorgeous (as usual!) Love those IO dies, and good tip on the ltweight glitter paper. These tiny or slim pieces can give me fits trying to adhere on a card front (sentiment dies can be tricky too, to get them even). This turned out beautifully & loved the corner holly. The red swirled tree really sparkled against the white background. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteLovely Christmas card, the Christmas tree is lovely as are your touches of holly. Thanks so much for joining in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Tracy x

This is so gorgeous with the glittler paper of the tree and the sentiment. Great idea to glue the thinner paper to some cardstock!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Cathy, I was looking at the tree die today. Good idea to make it thicker with layers, looks amazing in red too :) Viv xx
