Birthday Guitar


Hi, I received a new stamp set from Inspired by Stamping in the mail late last week and was keen to try them.

I stamped the guitar and plectrum with Versafine sepia ink, clear embossed them, and used Prismacolor pencils to colour them. 

The embossed background is Couture Creations Peacock Pleasure. I was trying to get a bit of a retro feel!


I'm going to link up with the Masculine/ Father's Day challenge at Inspired by Stamping and their customer gallery.

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge the theme is Anything Goes.

Craft Mojo has an Autumn Colours challenge.

Seize the Birthday has an Anything Goes challenge as long as it's a birthday.

    Great card. I'm trying to visit this evening, and seeing lots of retro & nostalgia. Love the guitar. Did you color, then emboss? That CC EF was just absolutely perfect with your guitar and the look you were going for. TFS

    Hi Mary, I stamped and clear embossed the guitar, fussy cut it, then coloured it with Prismacolor pencils. It's popped up on foam dots too. Cathy x

    That is one great card .. .. it would be brilliant for the musicians in my family.

    You must have a very steady hand to be able to cut the guitar out so perfectly.

      Thanks Sue, I did think about Addicted to CAS but thought that there wasn't enough uncluttered "white" space with the dry embossing. I'm still learning ! :) Cathy
