Hi, it's a bleak, rainy day here, perfect for staying indoors. It's a shame I have a lot of outside chores to do, maybe tomorrow!
I was inspired by a couple of challenges to make this card.
Addicted to CAS has a rainbow code word and at CASology the theme is to create a project using hexagons.
I punched 1/8" circles out of scraps and they fitted perfectly into the centres of this hexagon embossing folder. I didn't make much of a dent in my scraps, but it was therapeutic gluing all the dots in!
Edited to add: I'm going to play in the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. I thought I'd used up all my goes on the swings, but Di assures me I'm still allowed in, woohoo!
Materials used: MBossabilities So Trendy embossing folder; Fiskars circle punch; memory Box label die; sentiment sticker from stash.

Thanks for visiting :)
This is sooo cute - and I had to - count them - 86 spots - that is if you included the ones behind the sentiment label...LOL I am in the process of creating a dreamcatcher card... I need batteries for my camera so will have to post later... Its raining here in Brissy too Mxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, so neatly done.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy. Such a creative design!! Love the rainbow dots in the hexagons - so sweet! Thanks for joining us at ATCAS! Loll xx
ReplyDeleteI love your card - all those dots look so cool! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteWahoo - just stunning! I didn't count the dots but did find myself checking that Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain :)
ReplyDeleteYou did use snippets and I just checked the Playground. Am sure you only played on the swings twice this week - so you could add a third card if you wish, this one is perfect!
Hugs, Di xx
Beautiful card it looks really effective.
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy - my fault entirely! Got AM and PM mixed up and the Playground gates closed 12 hours early! Open until 3pm UK time today now - if you don't see this and manage to link then I'll do it for you. It's a bit trickier 'cos I need to save and then upload your photo so if you do it that would save me a bit of time.
ReplyDeleteApologies again - off to stand on the 'naughty step', move over girls!!
Hugs, Di xx
Brilliant - you linked :) xx
ReplyDeletethanks Di :)
DeleteLove your design Cathy! Lovely embossing. Thank you for joining us at ATCAS.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fabulous idea! Here I was all mad that I didn't have a hexagon punch to go with my hexagon folder. Who would have thought that I could use a circle punch? Thanks for sharing that tip. I will definitely have to try it. It looks great on your card. I love the small pops of color. Thanks for playing at ATCAS. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. Fanastitico ! Hugs mrs a.
