I'm also entering the challenge at  Simon Says Stamp where the theme this week is Anything Goes, and Make it Monday , where the theme is Anything Goes.

Happy 21st

Hi, I've been asked to make a male 21st card, so I thought I'd try the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration.

I'm also going to enter the challenge at  Addicted to Stamps & More where the theme is Anything Goes.
I used snippets in the ovals and in the metal diecuts, so I can enter the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.
At Simon Says Stamp & Show, this week's theme is to create a project using your favourite ink. One of my favourites is distress ink. I use it for colouring and distressing.

Materials used: Spellbinders oval dies; Memory Box number die; Fancy That vintage key die; Number embossing folder; distress ink; sentiment sticker from stash.

Sympathy with poppies

Hi, sadly I need to make some sympathy cards at the moment.

I've used my newly acquired memory Box Prim poppies die and coloured it with tombow markers.
The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink sympathy set of stamps.

I've mounted my embossed panel and my sentiment onto dark green card, as black seemed too dark. I sponged the cream cardstock with Versamark sand beige ink.

I'm going to enter the Anything Goes challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More.

At A Blog Named hero, the theme is to Clean Up Your Act, by making a clean and simple card.

Materials used: Memory Box Prim Poppies & Butterfly dies; Papertrey Ink sympathy stamp; Stampin Up Fancy Fan embossing folder; watercolour paper; Tombows; Versafine ink & clear embossing powder.

Orange Butterfly

Hi, I thought I'd make some cards with some more of my hubbie's photos. He's taken pics of birds, flowers, bugs and other wildlife around our home!

I love the details on this butterfly, the wings look so velvety.

I'm entering the challenge at Simon Says Stamp where the theme this week is to Take a Picture. Create a project that is photograph, camera or film related.

I've used black and gold snippets in my layers to frame the butterfly, so I'm going to the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop

At Make it Monday, the theme is Anything Goes.

Yellow Stone Flower

Hi,  I wanted to enter the challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More. I love the inspiration photo, and thought about using my window die.

Then I noticed the gorgeous detailed carving on the window box. It reminded me of this hero Arts Stone Flower stamp. I used the yellow of the flowers and added some of the greenery.

The background is a dp that my sister gave me a long time ago, she used to get freebies in scrapbooking magazines, and I was often the lucky recipient! Thanks Mo:)

I'm also going to enter the challenge at Addicted to CAS, where the code word is birthday.

At A Blog Named Hero, the theme is to Clean Up Your Act by creating a clean and simple project.

At Simon Says Stamp & Show, the theme this week is to create a project using your favourite ink. I used Versafine ink to stamp the stone flower image. It's my favourite ink for stamping detailed images and works so well. I coloured the flower with distress ink pads using fine nibs to get the colour into the small areas. (I don't have any distress markers!)

Materials used: Hero Arts Stone Flower stamp; Memory Box Madeira corner die; Sepia Versafine ink; Distress ink pads; Perfect Pearls spray painted over the top of some of the image; bling & sentiment sticker from stash.

Baby & Butterflies

Hi, I made this card for a friend to celebrate the arrival of her baby girl.
The layout is a little like the Thinking of You white on white card I made way back in February.

I'm going to enter the challenge at Scrapbook Boutique, where the theme is to create a card using the colours white, pink and yellow and this photo for inspiration.

I was inspired by the soft colours, the texture and of course, the butterflies!
(This challenge is only available in Australia as unfortunately Scrapbook Boutique doesn't ship internationally)

At A Blog named Hero, the challenge is to Clean Up Your Act, by creating a clean and simple project.

I'm also entering the snippets playgound over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop since I  used snippets in this card. I even took a picture of the bits! (I can still see some of the snowflake I cut at christmas time). Even though I have a drawer full of these offcuts, I find myself squeezing dies into every possible space, just to get 1 more use out of the scrap. Of course, these all went back into the drawer for next time!!

Materials used: Memory Box butterfly and alphabet die; EK Success flower punch; 1/8" circle punch; Stampin Up Fancy Fan embossing folder; glitter paper.

Red Daisy Line

Hi, I wanted a simple card to suit a few occasions, so I made this line of daisies. I've left it without a sentiment for now so that I'm prepared for whatever comes along!

I'm going to enter a couple of challenges. At Simon Says Stamp, the theme this week is Flower Power.

At Crop Stop, they are celebrating National Scrapbooking Day with a challenge to use an impression or embossing folder. This swiss dots folder was the first one I ever bought, love it's versatility.

Materials used: Swiuss dots embossing folder; Lucys daisy stamp; tombows; kindyglitz; ribbon from stash.

One Layer Blossoms

Hi, I was inspired to make this card by a couple of challenges. At Less is More, the theme is to make a one layer card on a coloured base, no white, cream etc. At CASology, the code word is Bloom.

One layer cards are definitely a challenge for me!  I stamped and embossed this flower from  Annabelles Stamps Standing Tall set. The sentiment is from the same set,as is the little row of dots stamped at the base of the flowers.

I coloured the image with Prismacolor pencils but felt it needed something else. So I diecut a scallop on the edge of the card, just on the top section. My base is a Memory Box cherry blossom coloured card. They are white on the inside so this shows through the scallop cut.

Navy and Gold Butterfly

Hi, I've made a quick card for a friend.

I'm going to enter the challenge at Crop Stop, where the challenge is to use embossing on your project.

I've made the butterfly using some leftover pieces of Japanese paper and two of my Memory Box dies.
The embossing folder is called Stately.

Framed Butterflies

Hi, I've been inspired to make this card by a couple of challenges.

At Simon Says Stamp & Show, the challenge this week is to use a little paper. It can be a sheet from a small designer pad, or a small piece of a larger dp.

I used a piece of designer paper that was part of an invitation that I received a few years ago. The wording was on vellum attached by a brad to this lovely paper. I thought it might come in handy one day! I've still got some left for another couple of cards.

Here's another shot that shows the paper's design better.

At Just Add Ink, a new challenge for me, the theme this week is to use woodgrain in your project.
I was tempted to use my woodgrain stamp again, but remembered this impression plate that I bought from Lil Inkers a while ago. I distressed the woodgrain frame to highlight the texture.

The butterfly stamp is one I borrowed from my sister so I don't know the brand, she's had it for years. I coloured them with prismacolor pencils. The sentiment is from Annabelle stamps.

I'm also going to enter the Anything Goes challenge at Make It Monday, and the open or Anything Goes challenge at Flutterby Wednesdays

Thanks for visiting :)

Butterfly Birthday

Hi, I was inspired to make this butterfly card by 2 challenges.

At Simon Says Stamp, the theme this week is Things with Wings.
At Flutterby Wednesdays, it's an open challenge, as long as you use a butterfly or a fairy on your project.

Materials used: Memory Box butterfly dies; vellum painted with twinkling H2Os; Tiny Bubbles embossing folder; bling and sentiment sticker from stash.

Pink Daisies

Hi, I wanted a simple card with no sentiment so I'd have it on standby for when I needed it. I've used a similar design recently and thought I'd do a few in different colours to suit different occasions.

I'm going to enter it into the challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, where the theme this week is CAS.

Materials used: Simon Says Stamp fresh daisies die; Twinkling H2O's; cardstock from stash.

Rainbow Hexagons

Hi, it's a bleak, rainy day here, perfect for staying indoors. It's a shame I have a lot of outside chores to do, maybe tomorrow!

I was inspired by a couple of challenges to make this card.
Addicted to CAS has a rainbow code word and at CASology the theme is to create a project using hexagons.

I punched 1/8" circles out of scraps and they fitted perfectly into the centres of this hexagon embossing folder. I didn't make much of a dent in my scraps, but it was therapeutic gluing all the dots in!

Edited to add: I'm going to play in the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. I thought I'd used up all my goes on the swings, but Di assures me I'm still allowed in, woohoo!

Materials used: MBossabilities So Trendy embossing folder; Fiskars circle punch; memory Box label die; sentiment sticker from stash.

Farmyard Birthday

Hi, it's Friday at last! I got these little rooster stickers a while ago and forgot I had them! I thought he'd be perfect in a farmyard scene.

I seem to use my cuttlebug for just about every card I make and I just heard about a new challenge called Cuttlebug Mania. They're having a tic tac toe challenge and the line I've chosen for my card is
Sentiment / Flower /Diecuts or Embossing.

One of the things I love about Memory Box and Poppystamps dies is that they are so delicate and fine. Perfect for using on snippets and scraps of card!

Materials used: Distress stripes embossing folder; Poppystamps/Memory Box grass , window, window box and small flower dies; Martha Stewart Branch punch ;Craft Queen paper flowers and Twinkling H2Os; Jolees Boutique rooster stickers; sentiment sticker from stash.

Birthday dragonfly

Hi, I made this card to enter a new challenge my newest follower led me to, thanks Kren! It's Crafting with Dragonflies. You need to use a stamped or digi dragonfly image as a focal point on your card. If you don't have one there's a fantastic freebie image available. The DT have some amazing projects as inspiration.

I stamped and embossed the Lucy dragonfly in gold. The detail on the stamp is amazing.

I covered the stamp in kindy glitz to get a glittery effect, it looks better IRL!

Materials used: Lucys stamp; Asian set embossing folder; Memory Box label die, gold ink & embossing powder; kindyglitz; sentiment sticker from stash.

Glitter Butterfly

Hi, a while ago I made a card using the Penny Black Social Butterfly and I really liked the colours.
So I thought I'd make another one. Disaster struck!! Once I colour my image I like to go around the edges with a black tombow to cover up the white card edge. I slipped and had a big black stripe on one of the wings! All that work fussycutting and colouring for nothing...I rescued the butterfly from the bin and chopped off the offending piece. It sort of looks as if I angled it this way on purpose heehee!

I'm going to enter a new challenge for me,  A Blog Named Hero, where the theme is All that Glitters.

My coloured card stock is snippets, in some ways so is the butterfly! So I'm entering the playground again at Pixie's Crafty Workshop. It's great fun, to play along you just need to use a scrap or snippet in your project.

I'm also entering the challenge at Make It Monday, where it's Anything Goes and the idea is to share and get inspiration from fellow card makers.

Materials used: PB Social Butterfly; Sizzix embossing folder; Tombows; Stickles;

Wishing you Happiness

Hi, I finally managed to get some card making done this weekend!

This is a variation on a card I made a while ago. Last time it was a thank you card, I like the layout and thought it would make a good birthday card too.

I'm going to enter a few challenges.

At CAS-ual Fridays, it's their 2nd birthday and their 100th challenge. Quite a milestone! The celebration challenge is to create a project using a bingo grid. My card uses the line Birthday/ Bling/ Punches or dies. It could also be the line for Kraft/ Bling/ Embossing. The flowerpots are punched out of Kraft scraps.

I'm entering a new challenge for me at Annabelle Stamps. This fortnight it's an Anything Goes challenge!

At Simon Says Stamp, the theme is Happy Mail.

I used snippets for my flower pots, the greenery in the pots and the yellow cardstock, so I'm going to the Snippets Playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Materials used: MBossabilities So Trendy embossing folder; Flower pot punch (on loan from my sister!!) coloured a bit with Prismacolor pencils; Martha Stewart Branch punch (I only have 2 and the other one is Frond); Annabelle Stamps sentiment stamp and Sprinkles bling; Craft Queen paper flowers painted with Twinkling H2Os; Kraft snippets and other cardstock from stash.

Celtic Congratulations

Hi, I've had this stamp on loan for a while from my sister! Thought I'd better use it before I return it to her. It's labelled Stamps & Stuff from South Australia, it's pretty old I think. It reminds me of celtic knotwork.

I stamped the image 3 times in gold Versacolor ink and gold embossed them. Layered them on a white strip and then a gold strip.

I'm going to enter the challenge at CASology, where the code word this week is CARE. The design Team have some great inspirational projects displayed.

Thanks for visiting :)

Butterfly Love

Hi, I made another lattice card with the leftover shimmer frame from my marshmallow coloured card I made a little while ago. The card base was distressed for another project but I wasn't happy with the distressing - too blotchy! I still need a lot of practice to improve my technique. Anyway, I thought the lattice covered up the uneven colouring well!

I'm entering this card into a few challenges.

Flutterby Wednesdays has a love, wedding or anniversary theme this week. Remember to use a butterfly or fairy in your project.

Simon Says Stamp has an Anything Goes challenge which is closing very soon!

and Make It Monday, a great spot to share your Anything Goes projects and to find inspiration amongst other card crafters.

Materials used: Papertrey Ink Quatrefoil Coverplate; Memory Box Madeira corner, Primo label and butterfly dies;EK Success & Punch Bunch flower punches; distress ink;Vellum painted with Twinkling H2os for the butterfle base; sentiment sticker from stash.
