Totally excited chicken!

Hi again, I know this stamp has been around for a long time, but it's a newbie to me!
I love chickens,
and am waiting on some to occupy the new coop my hubby built me!

I stamped this girl with versafine ink and clear embossed, then coloured her with
 prismacolor pencils.

I'm linking up to the challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday
where the theme is anything goes.

I used a snippet of black card in the layers so that means I can visit the snippets playground at
Supplies:
Penny Black totally excited stamp; Cuttlebug chicken wire embossing folder; sentiment sticker and bling.

Dreamy on Purple

Hi, thank goodness it's the weekend again!
It's very hot and windy here, so I'm hiding in the craft room until it's cool enough to tackle the housework.

I made this for a friend's upcoming birthday, her favourite colour is purple so I hope she likes it.

I'm linking up to the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Monday.

The challenge at Seize the Birthday is anything goes birthday with an optional topping of using washi tape. I don't have a stash of this tape so I'm just playing with anything goes.

Supplies:
Papertrey Ink impression plate; Penny Black Dreamy stamp; versafine ink & clear embossing powder; distress inks; bling and sentiment sticker.

Butterfly and tag layers

Hi again, I've had the top layer of this butterfly sitting around for about a week and finally got to use it in a card tonight.

The top is die cut from card painted with twinkling H2Os and kindy glitzed, while the bottom is cut from vellum and painted with the same twinks.

I hand cut a tag from white card and embossed it with PTI's giga guide impression plate. I cut another tag from vellum, inked the edges with versamark and embossed in silver. You can just see the embossing on the tag under the vellum, it looks better in real life. There are a few tiny pieces of double sided tape holding edges of the tags together.

The base card is embossed with PTI's woodgrain impression plate.

I'm linking up again to a few challenges:

At Addicted to CAS  it's vellum.

Inkspirational has a colour challenge.

At the Butterfly Challenge, Mrs A's theme is to use a butterfly and a tag.

Allsorts has an embossing theme.

Supplies:
Papertrey Ink Giga Guide & woodgrain impression plates; Memory Box Darla & Vivienne butterfly dies; vellum; versamark & silver embossing powder; twinkling H2Os; kindy glitz; pearl bling; sentiment sticker; silver cord.

Thanks for visiting,
enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Embossed Celtic Weave

Hi, I tried a new embossing folder today and  I love how tactile the card is!
It's a Spellbinders3D M Bossabilities and it embosses quite deeply.

The butterfly was stamped with versafine and clear embossed, fussy cut and coloured with Prismacolor pencils.
I don't think I'll add a sentiment, I just like feeling the card lol!

I'm linking up to a couple of challenges.
Allsorts has an embossing theme. I've used both wet and dry embossing.

Addicted to Stamps & More has a make your mark theme, to use markers, pens or pencils.

Stamping Sensations has a colour challenge, warm autumn colours.

Supplies:
Hero Arts antique Engravings butterfly stamp; Spellbinders Celtic Weave embossing folder;
Versafine ink & clear embossing powder; Prismacolor pencils; Spellbinders floral oval and classic oval dies.

Christmas candle

Hi, I've been wanting to use this candle die that I was fortunate to win in the snippets playground, and
was inspired by a couple of challenges.

At Inkspirational it's a colour challenge.

At Addicted to CAS the theme is vellum.

I've had some off cuts of purple irridescent vellum for ages, so I was glad to finally find a use for them. The base is a pearlized purple cardstock that is a good match for the vellum.

Attaching the candle pieces and sentiment to the card is easier if you put the vellum onto some double sided adhesive sheet before diecutting. (Ask me how I know lol!)

I also used up some snippets of silver shimmer paper so I'm visiting the snippets playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Supplies:
Memory Box Tall Taper Candle die; Impression Obsession christmas die; double sided adhesive sheet; vellum; shimmer paper; PTI Giga Guidelines impression plate; bling.

Orange Blooms

Hi again, it's been a busy week and I haven't had much time in the craft room.
Hopefully, I'll get more time this weekend as a few new goodies arrived in the mail!

I was asked to make a birthday card for a friend who loves orange. I've used the layout before but changed the colour scheme to suit.

The flowers were stamped onto watercolour paper and coloured with tombow markers and an aqua pen. I layered them up with foam dots for dimension.

I'm linking up to these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge where the theme is to use something starting with the letter o in your project.

Twinkling H2O Butterfly

Hi, I've made another panel using flowers diecut from scraps of vellum.
I used twinkling H2Os to paint them, all the same colour this time.
The butterfly is also coloured with twinks, although it's a bit hard to see the sparkle in the photo.

I'm linking up to a few more challenges.
Snippets means I can visit the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

At Addicted to Stamps & More it's an anything goes theme.

At Seize the Birthday it's also anything goes birthday.

Vellum Flowers

Hi, hope you're having a great weekend.

I've been using up little scraps of vellum with some Memory Box flower dies.
It becomes a bit crazy when you try 3 or 4 times to fit the die onto a tiny piece.
I do eventually throw them away!!

I'm linking up to a few challenges.

At Cuttlebug Mania the theme is so thankful. You also need to use a manual machine like a Big Shot. I used my Cuttlebug for die cutting.

At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge it's a fall love challenge.
I've used H20's in autumn colours for my flowers.

At Virginia's View Challenge it's a clean and simple theme.

Supplies:
Memory Box Fancy Blossoms and Savannah Border dies; twinkling H2Os; vellum scraps; pop dots to give the flowers dimension; bling and sentiment sticker.

At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday the theme is transport it.

At Simon Says Stamp Monday the theme is to add a finishing touch with a stamp.
I added "are we there yet" after the tag was finished as I thought it just needed something else!

Autumn Brown Butterfly

Hi, this is another one of the butterflies I coloured today.

The leaves are left over from another project and are cut from glossy cardstock coloured with alcohol inks.

Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge has an autumn colour theme.

I'm linking up again to the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

At Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge the theme is to stamp a finishing touch.

Butterfly Filmstrip

Hi, I've spent the day colouring butterflies with Inktense pencils, and even better, I've managed to finish a few cards with them.

I was inspired by the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink.
JAI 233
I thought I'd use a filmstrip die instead of a banner shape and tried to make the middle butterfly look like it was closing it's wings.

I'm also linking to these challenges:
Addicted to Stamps & More where the theme is CAS.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday  where the theme is anything goes.

I used snippets of black and white to cut the filmstrip and popped the white pieces back in for the butterflies to sit on. Snippets means I can visit the playground again at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

Supplies:
PTI woodgrain impression plate; very old butterfly stamp; Memory Box bijou film strip die; inktense pencils; sentiment sticker & bling.

Birthday stars

Hi again, I've been doing bits of everything today. Made a really yummy date loaf with weet bix as 1 of the ingredients, it sounded a bit odd but tastes delicious!

I wanted to add some balloons to this tag but my efforts at drawing or tracing things weren't much chop! Luckily I had this star die to use instead.
This card feels much busier than my usual CAS cards but I do like the stripey dp.

I'm linking up to the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

At Seize the Birthday it's an anything goes birthday theme with the option of a banner or pennants topping.

I used snippets of cardstock for my stars and die cut sentiment so I'm visiting the playground at
Pixie's Crafty Workshop. (The sparkly stars were "collected" from a dinner we went to and they had decorated the table with them.)

Supplies:
Papertrey Ink star die; Fiskars label punch; Penny Black Hooray die; versamark ink and silver ep for the tag edges; tiny sentiment sticker; glossy accents; silver cord and dp from stash.

Yellow butterfly

Hi, I was inspired to make this card by the colour challenge at
Love these colours, and since it's Spring over here I thought I'd try something other than an autumn card. My card is in the clean and simple category.

The butterfly is painted with twinkling H2Os, so it's quite shimmery IRL. The die cut leaves are coloured with distress inks.

I'm also linking up to the CAS challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More,
and to the anything goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday.

At CASology the theme is flutter.

Supplies:
PTI impression plate; Hero Arts antique engravings butterfly stamp; Memory Box Lorelai Leaf die; punch bunch flower punch; twinkling H2Os; distress inks; sentiment sticker.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Butterfly on a border

Hi again,
I'm using up a few butterflies that are left over from other projects.

This border looks blue in the photo but it's greener IRL!
I rescued the popped out pieces from the paper bin and glued them in to create a different look.

I'm linking up to the challenge at The Butterfly Challenge
where Mrs A has a theme of the ugly bug ball!

I'm also linking up to Stamping Sensations where the theme is things with wings.
You need to use stamping in your project.
I stamped the butterfly, coloured it with tombow markers, fussy cut it and
popped it up on some foam dots for dimension.

The theme at AAA Cards is fussy cutting.

Supplies:
Stamp: Memory Box Cocoa Bean butterfly.
Die: Memory Box Tessatina Border.
Other: Tombow markers; sentiment sticker; bling and foam dots.

Pink & Orange Birthday

Hi, it's day 2 of the school holidays here and I'm enjoying avoiding my list of jobs!!
I will get to it, maybe tomorrow!

I was inspired to make this card by the challenge at
Just Add Ink where they have this gorgeous pic as the theme.

I stamped and embossed 2 flowers on watercolor paper and coloured them with tombows
and an aqua pen. I fussy cut them, shaped them with a stylus and layered them together for dimension.

The challenge at AAA Cards is to use fussy cutting.

The leaves and border and Memory Box dies, I coloured these with distress inks.

The challenge at Cuttlebug Mania is anything diecut,
and to use a manual machine like a Big Shot, or Cuttlebug.

Supplies:
Dies: Memory Box Lorelai Leaf and Tessatina Border.
Stamp: Designs by Ryn African Daisy
Other: orchid ink & clear embossing powder; tombows; distress ink; watercolor paper; sentiment sticker.

Holiday baubles

Hi, I've been playing with alcohol inks again today.
I diecut  an ornament base out of metal sheet and ran it through my cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I love the texture. I've used the same folder on the base card.

Instead of pouncing the ink on with a blending tool, I poured it on and moved the base around.
I painted the top with a layer of glossy accents so the ink doesn't scratch off.

I diecut another base from snippets of black card and glued it onto the back so that when you hang these on the tree you won't see the messy back. I've secured the ornaments to the card with foam dots and double sided tape which should be easy enough for the recipient to remove.

Here's another pic, it's tricky getting the light right!

I'm linking up to the holiday challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More.

Snippets means I can visit the playground at Pixie's Crafty Workshop.

At Cuttlebug Mania the theme is anything diecut with a manual machine like a big shot or a cuttlebug.

Edited to add: I'm also linking up to the challenge at Keep it Simple where the theme is no stamps.

Supplies:
Memory Box Brittany ornament die and Sizzix swirls & waves embossing folder;
Alcohol ink; glossy accents: silver cord; sentiment sticker.
