Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Colleen has chosen a colour challenge, purple, blue and green.
You can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too, it's a great way to add to your stash of birthday cards!
My team mates and our party guest Karren have some wonderful inspiration for you, so I hope you can play along.
I used some metallic watercolour paints to colour some cardstock, then diecut the floral border and the new to me butterfly. I layered the flowers on a black diecut (was originally going to put this onto a black base but hubby liked the white one better lol!) I cut a vellum layer for the base of the butterfly.
Here's a closer look at the shimmery paints.
I'm linking up to these challenges:
Double D Challenge, also purple blue and green!
Supplies:
Dies: Memory Box fairytale flower border and glade butterfly; Metallic watercolour paints; unknown sentiment stamp (possibly Stampin Up) versafine clair nocturne ink & clear ep; hammered cardstock.
Thanks for visiting,
Cathy x

ReplyDeleteThis card really caught my eye and I love the delicate look. I am wondering if the texture on the background is done by you, or if is the card stock?
