Dog Lover's Birthday.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday.
The theme this time is to use a square card, or play along, as I've done, with the anything goes birthday option. (I don't have any sqaure cards or envelopes!)

The design team and our party guest have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you get the chance to play along!

I made this card for a friend who is a real dog lover!
I spread grit paste through a stencil , then coloured it with some infusions and a spritz of water.
I used distress inks for the sky and grass, and the dog was stamped in versafine, clear embossed, fussy cut and coloured with Prismacolor pencils.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Stencil in blues.

Hi everyone, have you had a chance to play along with the CAS Stencil card challenge yet this month?
Our host is Robyn and she has chosen sprays to try with stencils. They can be any type of sprays or spritzes! This is a fun technique, so I hope you can play along.

I chose 3 shades of blue distress oxide sprays and the Tim Holtz stripes stencil. There is more variation in the colour in real life, but it's a bit hard to see in the pic.

I diecut one of the Tim Holtz wildflowers and cut it up to fit the circle window. I inked the pieces with versamark and embossed with blue lapis pearl powder.
Here's a closer look.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Butterfly camouflage!

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday!
and the theme is butterflies.

You can always play along with our anything goes birthday option too, and we all need more birthday cards!

The design team and our birthday guest have lots of wonderful ideas to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

A while ago I had a play with an acrylic paint pouring technique and some yupo paper.
It was a lot of fun, very messy, but fun!

I had a large enough piece leftover to diecut this butterfly and the background panel. The butterfly is almost camouflaged on the background but the added bling pops it out a little bit.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More where the theme is clean and simple.

Supplies:

CAS Butterflies.

Hi everyone, I've been making a few butterfly cards and thought I'd get one posted for a few challenges that are closing soon.

I stamped and clear embossed the butterflies, fussy cut them, then coloured with Inktense pencils, blending the colour out with a water brush.

At Less is More it's a colour theme. Tangerine, Aqua and white.

Happy Little Stampers CAS, use one third.

Distress oxide sprays and a stencil.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at CAS Stencil. and this time the theme is all about using sprays with a stencil. This is a lot of fun and there are some videos to help with the technique on the challenge blog.
The DT and our guest designer have some wonderful cards to inspire you, so I hope you get the chance to play along.

I used distress oxide sprays and I love the dotty look the sprayed colours gave - picked raspberry, wilted violet, cracked pistachio and mermaid lagoon.
Here's a closer look.

The diecut sentiment was inked with versamark and embossed with Lindy's midnight violet embossing powder.

Purple Floral Birthday.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday where the optional theme is flowers.

If you like you can just play along with anything goes birthday. A great chance to catch up on all those birthday cards that we need!

This is a new to me flower stamp, and it took ages getting a print I was happy with lol!
I ended up using Versafine clair ink which is wonderful for fine details, as all of the other inks I tried were way too juicy and caused the image to be blobby!!
