Butterfly note.

Hi everyone, this was a quick card that needs to get in the mail tomorrow.
I had a couple of these oxide inked photo paper butterflies in my stash, so decided to use one of them.

I'm linking up to the challenge at AAA Cards . These colours look brighter IRL but that might be the shine on the photo paper.

At Simon Says Wednesday there's a moodboard for inspiration.

At CASology it's a summer theme.
Butterflies, gardening and being outside, love summer when it's not too hot lol!

At Stamplorations CAS Challenge, it's anything goes with the option of lilac.

Supplies:
Memory Box drifting butterfly  and Crafts 4 U stitched rectangle dies; Annabelle Stamps sentiment; oxide inks; versafine ink & clear ep; glossy photo paper and a baby wipe.

Birthday Chickens.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday!
The toppings option is presents,

but as always you can play along with anything goes birthday.

There are lots of wonderful ideas by our party guest and Design Team to inspire you, so I hope you can play along.

I've had this stamp for ages but this is it's first inking. I masked off the 4th chicken as I was happy with these 3, and they are coloured with Prismacolour pencils and Zig brush pens.

I stamped a 2nd present and cake, fussycut them and layered them up on foam dots for some dimension.

Dinosaur birthday!

Hi everyone, I hope you're enjoying your weekend.
I'm procrastinating again lol! Oh well, I'll do the ironing after dinner.

I made a few backgrounds with oxide inks and photo paper, swiping them with a baby wipe to bring out the colours. Now some of the backgrounds I loved, and some...I didn't lol!
But I'm not one to waste anything, so from a murky green piece I diecut this dinosaur.

For the background I was going for a rocky toned prehistoric look!
I put tea dye and pumice stone oxide inks on my craft mat, spritzed with water and smooshed onto cardstock.

The birthday diecut was embossed with black sparkle embossing powder.

Here's a closer look.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

My elements are the baby wipe technique, stamping, watercolouring by smooshing, diecutting and wet embossing.

Watercoloured Background with silver crackle stencilling.

Hi everyone, have you had a chance to play along with the latest CAS Stencil Challenge
yet?
It's stencilling over a coloured background. Whether it's inked, painted, or coloured card stock, there are lots of possibilities, and loads of ideas to inspire you at the challenge blog.

I had a watercoloured panel in my stash. I'd used blue Kuretake gansai and Finetec silver paint.
I used a Tim Holts floral stencil and pasted on some antique silver crackle texture paste.
It was a bit runny, so seeped under the stencil in places, and the crackle didn't get much chance to develop as I used  heat tool to dry it lol!
Here's a closer look.

What crackle there is gives a sort of quilted look.

Aged black frantage enamel and butterflies.

Hi everyone, I'm in the craftroom while hubby and sons are watching the federal election coverage on telly. It's early days yet as the polls only closed an hour and a half an hour ago!
I'll check it out in a couple of hours.

A work colleague asked me to make an 18th birthday card for her daughter who doesn't like frilly or pink!! I think this is feminine but not over the top, so hope she likes it!

I love how different colours come out in this embossing enamel. Black and gold in the numbers but lots of silver in the butterflies.

I diecut the butterflies and numbers and inked with versamark, sprinkled on the frantage embossing powder and heat embossed. I backed the butterflies with a vellum layer, although it's hard to see in the pic.

Here's a closer look.

Birthday Balloons and oxide inks.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and the toppings option this time is balloons!

Or, you can always play along with anything goes so long as it's a birthday theme.

There are lots of great ideas from the DT and our surprise party guest, so I hope you get the chance to play along.

I've been playing with distress oxide inks and glossy photo paper.
I pressed some ink onto my craft mat, spritzed it with water then patted the glossy photo paper into the puddles. It seems to set straight away but if you dry it, then pat it into some more ink you can layer up the colours.

Then, when it's dry wipe over it with a baby wipe or damp cloth and the vibrant colors are revealed!

I diecut the celebrate sentiment and balloons from this background, then layered them onto black card for some dimension. Lastly I added some silver cord strings, and a sentiment stamp.

I'm linking up to these challenges:

CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.

My elements are baby wipe, stamping, heat embossing and die cutting.
Such a fun technique!

Aged copper frantage butterfly.

Hi everyone, I need a few quick birthday cards so fell back on a design I've used before, but with a new to me frantage embossing enamel, copper! Love the patina.

Here's a closer look.

The butterfly was inked with versamark then sprinkled with the embossing enamel.
You never know how the colouring will come out as it bubbles and melts with the heat gun.

I diecut the base butterfly from vellum and white card. The vellum gives a softer look.

I'm linking up to these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday, add something metallic. I hope the copper embossing is ok.

Vellum flowers with stencilling on brushos.

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at CAS Stencil.

The theme this time is to stencil over a coloured background. I had a scrap of watercolour paper that had been smooshed in some watery brushos. I think I was mopping up what was left on my craft mat.
I stencilled some glass bead glitter gel through a layering dot fade stencil.
Here's a closer look at the sparkle.

The flowers were stamped in white on both vellum and white card. I fussy cut them then layered them up. I like the soft look the vellum overlay gives to the cardstock.

The sentiment is a Simon Says stamp and die.

I'm linking up to these challenges:
